Those suffering from depression can have a really difficult time with their weight. Depression brought on by various causes like loneliness, difficulties at work or stress leads them to overeat because food is seen as a source of comfort, and this over a period of time leads to weight problems. Because of the extra weight, depression sets in again and this goes on and on in a vicious cycle.
