Although she came in third behind Ashley Degenford and Monica Hansen in Perfect 10's first annual model search, she was repeatedly showcased in following issues, including the covers of the Winter 1998, Aug/Sept 1999, and Fall 2004 editions.

Frederique van der Wal (born August 30, 1967, in The Hague, Zuid-Holland, The Netherlands) is a Dutch fashion model, best-known for gracing the pages of Sports Illustrated, Cosmopolitan, and Victoria's Secret. Frederique (as she is known and introduces herself), grew up on a farm on one of the newer polders in the Zuider Zee. She attended college in The Netherlands and earned a bachelor's degree in economics. She is a sharp businesswoman and manages her own financial affairs and businesses.

Frederique has appeared on hundreds of magazine covers, and in hundreds of catalogs, too, and she has also done runway and other fashion modeling. Frederique was hired by "Victoria's Secret" in the 1980s, when it was a very young women's lingerie company. June 24, 1979 in Karviná; pronounced Nyemtsovah) is a Czechoslovakian-born fashion model and author. She was featured on the cover of the 2003 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, and has also modeled for Victoria's Secret, and for many other companies in the women's clothing market.

On June 3, 2004, she was one of the telecast judges during the 53rd annual Miss Universe competition in Quito, Ecuador.

During the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake, Petra was at the Khao Lak resort in Thailand with her main photographer and fiancé, Simon Atlee when a tsunami struck where they were staying.

Atlee was killed by drowning, and Němcová suffered a broken pelvis and serious internal injuries, and was stripped naked of her swimsuit, but she managed to hold onto the top of a palm tree, reportedly for eight hours, until she was rescued by Thai civilians and airlifted to an inland hospital nearby. Petra spent three weeks in a Thai hospital, and then flew home to the Czech Republic, where she spent an additional three weeks in the hospital. Glamour magazine recently awarded Němcová a "Survivor Award" for the tsunami ordeal, and how she has picked up her life since then (her comeback being complete with her appearance in the 2006 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue).

Alessandra Ambrosio (born April 11, 1981) is a Brazilian supermodel. Her last name is spelled in Portuguese as Ambrósio, but she omits the diacritic mark in her modeling work. She is one of the faces of Guess?, Next (UK) and one of the Victoria's Secret Angels.

Alessandra Ambrosio was part of the deluge of Brazilian models that emerged after Gisele Bündchen opened the floodgates. One of the star models of that group, of which fellow Victoria's Secret/Guess? Model (and best friend) Ana Beatriz Barros is a member, the 5 ft 9 in, light brown-haired Ambrosio accumulated quite a career in the late 1990's into the next century. Ambrosio was born in Erexim, a small town in the south. As an early teen, she enrolled in a modeling class and subsequently was entered in the Elite modeling agency's 1996 Look of the Year competition. Though she did not win, she was offered an Elite contract one year after.

Her first modeling job was the cover of the Brazilian Marie Claire, and Ambrosio followed with other editorial work, but it was not long after that the Marcianos at Guess signed Ambrosio for their fall Millennium campaign in 2000. Claudia Schiffer (born August 25, 1970) is a German supermodel, who reached the height of her popularity during the 1990s.

Schiffer was born in Rheinberg, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, and began modeling in 1987, after being spotted in a nightclub in Düsseldorf. Ana Carolina Ardohain Dos Santos (born January 17, 1978 in General Acha, La Pampa) is a fashion model and television star in Argentina, also known by the nickname "Pampita".

At the age of 17, she left home and went to Buenos Aires. She worked in sales until a casting agent spotted her. The casting agent wanted not only a pretty face but a girl with character. Pampita fitted this role.

Her still photography work includes the likes of Victoria's Secret and Wonderbra. She has also been featured in ad campaigns for Honda and Coca-Cola. At times she is seen posing practically nude and has many racy photos to her name.

Ardohain also has hosted her own TV variety shows, "El Rayo" and "El Sitio", which were ratings winners.

During the 2002 World Cup campaign, Ardohain was voted to be the national football (soccer) team's representative, or "Godmother" as many called the honorary post.

Ardohain married model Martín Barrantes in November 2002. In September 2005 she separated from Barrantes in the midst of a tumultuous media-hyped rumor that she was having an affair (which she denied). She rather quickly began dating and living with Benjamín Vicuña, a famous actor from Chile. Santiago newspapers published photos of Ardohain walking her beagle, clearly showing that the model was pregnant.

Ardohain and Vicuña had a girl, named Blanca after Benjamin's grandmother. Ardohain has been quoted as saying, "This is a child that we have been waiting for and have loved since the first moment. I'm so proud, having done things without hurting anyone." The birth also bought about a reconciliation between Ardohain and her mother.

Ardohain has generated some jealous comments from other Argentine models. Gossip columns frequently cited how models Nicole Neumann and Julieta Prandi called Pampita a "mucamita" (servant girl or maid) and "muqui" (short for mucamita), essentially labeling her as coming from short peasant stock and not worthy of the high-class world of fashion modeling.

Not only naturally beautiful, Ardohain also has a bubbly personality and is renowned for her passion and skill in dancing. She is considered the top model of Argentina and had a reputation for partying. But she now shies away from the glamours of the model's life, instead opting for quiet nights with Vicuña. Her down-to-earth manner may be in part due to her humble beginnings. She is also known for her various charity works.

Elsa Benítez (born on December 8, 1977) is a Mexican supermodel. Benítez was born in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, and she got her modeling start after winning an international model search, held in Costa Rica in 1995. With Linda Evangelista as one of her childhood idols, Benítez decided to follow her dream of modeling. Modeling opportunities opened up for Benítez soon after, first in Mexico, where she started out her career, and then in the United States and Europe.

In 1996, she appeared on the cover of Vogue Italy three times in April, August and September. After signing with Elite Model Management, she then appeared on the covers of many fashion magazines, including Vogue, ELLE, Glamour, Mademoiselle, Harper's Bazaar, and Marie Claire. Benítez plans to enter the film industry and as such has taken acting lessons. She hopes to work in both Spanish and English language films. She married former NBA player, Rony Seikaly in September 1999, and with him she has a son.

Jeisa is a Brazilian supermodel, currently residing in New York. Born on April 12, 1985 in Muçum, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil - Jeisa grew up in a multi-ethnic country where she is no exception, being raised by parents (Ernani and Ivone) with Italian and German blood. She has two sisters, Grace (6 years older) and Jessica (5 years younger). Jeisa was discovered in 1998, at the age of 13, by a Brazilian actor. Helena Christensen (born December 25, 1968 in Copenhagen, Denmark) is a supermodel. Her father is Danish and mother is Peruvian.

She stepped into the limelight in 1986 by claiming the title of Miss Denmark when eighteen, allowing her to represent her country at the Miss Universe pageant. This provided an invaluable springboard to launch herself as an international model. She left her home to pursue modeling in Paris at the age of eighteen.

In 1991, she starred in the music video for Chris Isaak's song "Wicked Game". In the video, she is depicted as Isaak's lover. Christensen is topless for much of the video, though her nudity is relatively concealed with clever camera angles. It was decided that full frontal nudity would not be suitabile for mainstream release. Christensen is often considered to be one of the more popular supermodels of the 1990s. She has appeared on a slew on magazine covers and fashion campaigns. She was in the Victoria's Secret catalog and in their television commercials. She has an antiques shop in New York and sells some of her clothes in her mother's Yo-Yo Second Hand Shop in Christianshavn. She drives a Morris Minor car.

She has been romantically linked to the late singer of INXS, Michael Hutchence, Leonardo DiCaprio and Billy Corgan. She has one child, son Mingus Luchien Reedus born October 22, 1999 with former model Norman Reedus. Norman and Helena split in 2003.

Helena co-founded Nylon magazine and served as the creative director. She is no longer involved with the magazine.

On June 2006, Helena Christensen admitted to taking drugs. She says she smoked cannabis. Christensen said, "I wouldn’t say no if somebody passed me a joint.” The catwalk queen claims that models are attracted to the apparent glamour of Class A narcotics, but she didn't use them. Morgane was first scouted at the age of 16 but declined the offer, at the time prefering studies. Orange juice (often abbreviated OJ in North America) is a fruit juice obtained by squeezing or pressing the interior of an orange. It is enjoyed as a beverage in many parts of the world and is often commonly associated with breakfast.
